Station Zones

The Commons
The Commons is the front of Late Station — an open, social space built for tabletop gaming and casual play. With shared tables and lounge seating, it's where members drop in for board games, card games, and pickup sessions. Think of it as the main floor — no reservations needed, no pressure. Just grab a seat, pull a game off the shelf, or jump into something already running. It's the easiest place in the Station to meet other players and find your next group.

The Bay
The Bay is a flexible, multi-use space that shifts based on what the Station needs. On a normal night, it's additional room to spread out. But its real purpose is hosting — tournament nights, themed events, holiday game sessions, community meetups, and anything that needs more structure or capacity than the main floor. When something special is happening at Late Station, it's probably happening in The Bay. The layout can be reconfigured depending on the event, making it the most adaptable zone in the building.

The War Room
The War Room is a private, reservable room designed for long-form, immersive gaming sessions. With a darker atmosphere and seating for 6–8 players, it's purpose-built for tabletop RPG campaigns, strategy games, and anything that benefits from fewer distractions and more focus. This is where your D&D party runs a five-hour session without interruption, or where your group locks in for a serious board game night. Reserve it ahead of time, close the door, and the room is yours.

The Situation Room
The Situation Room is a reservable space equipped with display screens and whiteboard access. While it can serve as a meeting or planning room, its real value at Late Station is supporting game-adjacent needs — running tournament brackets, organizing league play, streaming or recording content, or coordinating events. It's the most structured room in the Station and works well for anything that needs a screen, a plan, or both.

The Galley
The Galley is where members refuel without leaving the Station. Stocked with snacks, drinks, and quick-grab options, it's designed to keep you going between rounds, sessions, and late-night marathons. No need to pause the game or leave the building — just step over, grab what you need, and get back to it. It's built for speed and convenience so the food run never kills the momentum.
